Rossignol Snowboard Bindings

Rossignol needed to inject some life into their snowboard binding lineup which, at the time, was mainly cobbled together from off-the-shelf stock parts. This design project generated custom 3D designs for men’s and women’s snowboard binding highbacks, forward lean adjusters, ratchets, straps and footbeds. Working back and forth with Rossignol’s in-house engineering team, aesthetics and functionality were optimized and the resulting products electrified the Rossignol sales staff whom now had a hardgoods lineup they could be proud of. The new designs spawned brand new technology stories that make Rossignol a contender in their market.
Today, the new designs that were generated are used on 90% of the bindings Rossignol offers. The success of the asymmetrical highback option from both a style and performance viewpoint has even unseated Rossignol’s previous top tier binding and is now used on their high end men’s pro model.
